Furthering community development
The Kootenay Rockies Innovation Council aims to advance and promote innovation and the application of science and technology for the benefit of the East Kootenay region. KRIC works with small and medium sized businesses, youths, professionals and whole communities in science and technology-based economic development.
Communities in the East Kootenay can benefit from incorporating science and technology into their planning, communications infrastructure and targeted economic development. Support from the KRIC in these areas can take shape in community projects, knowledge transfer, tools, or research. KRIC works with partner agencies from within the region and beyond to support projects and initiatives that increase science and technology related economic development.
