Annual Meeting and Conference: American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS)

The AAAS Annual Meeting and conference is one of the most widely recognized global science events, with hundreds of networking opportunities and an exceptional array of speakers.

From February 16-20, 8,000 of the world’s brightest scientific minds from more than 60 countries will be in Vancouver for four days of symposia, lectures, seminars, workshops, and poster sessions that cover every area of science, technology, and education. More information about AAAS and this year’s agenda can be found here.

BCIC is proud to provide support for 200 BC students to enjoy one year of membership in the prestigious AAAS along with free passes to attend the full conference.

A limited number of passes will be offered to BCIC’s secondary and post-secondary school program participants (including last year’s YIS scholarship winners, e@ program participants, grad scholars and Trussell scholars) while the remaining will be distributed through partnership with TRIUMF on a first come first serve basis. More information about BCIC’s AAAS program can be found here.

Students across BC can register for tickets via TRIUMF’s website here.
